Applying for a short course or the Foundation Diploma?
You can apply for these courses through our website. Choose your course and click Apply Now and then register your details to create an account. You will need to check your inbox for an email from us with a verification link in. Once you have verified your account you can then proceed with completing your online application.
Applying for an undergraduate Art degree?
If you are applying for one of our undergraduate degrees you will need to apply through UCAS. You can either search directly through UCAS, or search on our website for the relevant course and click the Apply Now button where you will be redirected to the UCAS website.

When can I apply?
You can apply for the UAL Awarding body: Foundation Diploma in Art and Design or a short course as soon as the courses appear on our website! This is normally in October for courses starting the following September. We do accept applications into the first few weeks of term if we have places available. We recommend that you apply as soon as possible. For Higher Education courses please see the below timeline.

03 SEP 2024 - Completed undergraduate applications can be submitted to UCAS
29 JAN 2025 - (18:00 UK time) Equal consideration date for applications for most undergraduate courses
30 JUN 2025 - (18:00 UK time) Applications received by this deadline will be sent to universities and colleges - After this time, applications are automatically entered into Clearing.
05 JUL 2025 - Clearing opens - Clearing opens for eligible applicants, and vacancies are displayed in UCAS’ search tool.
20 OCT 2025- Last date to add a Clearing choice

Our admissions team will be in touch via email within 15 days about your application and to invite you in for an interview. Please ensure you let the team know if you update your address, email address or name.
