Course Description

This Level 4 course is offered as remote day course and will start to develop your skills further in preparing financial statements and management accounting.

At this level you will learn how to prepare published accounts for limited companies, you will study management accounting with a focus on preparing budgets and analysing performance, in addition to producing tax returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.

  • Drafting and Interpreting Financial Statements

  • Applied Management Accounting

  • Internal Accounting Systems and Controls

    Optional Modules:

  • Personal Tax

  • Business Tax

Lessons are remote and combine both theory and practical work

Homework is set each week and will be assessed by your tutor

Students are responsible for registering with the AAT. Registration fees are payable direct to the AAT, with fee information available at www.aat.org.uk

Any re-sits will be charged at the rate set by the AAT at the time

Future Prospects

Upon completion of the Level 4 qualification you can apply for full membership of the AAT, and get to use the letters MAAT after your name. You can also progress onto either ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ATT – the Level 4 qualification will give you some exemptions from these qualifications (details available on the relevant awarding bodies website).

Entry Requirements

You will need to have successfully completed the AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting at a Merit grade and will need to pass an entry test at interview.
