Enhance Curriculum provides a specialist wraparound support offer, facilitating students' transition to college and supporting their Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) outcomes.
This five-day-a-week provision is designed for students with significant barriers to learning, enabling them to access both mainstream courses and the progression curriculum. Students benefit from a dual curriculum model, personalised timetables, and high support ratios.
Our dedicated team employs specialist approaches, including Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Zones of Regulation, in a secure base room environment.
The program focuses on developing resilience, autonomy, independence, employability, and social communication skills. Each student's support needs are assessed prior to enrolment, and a bespoke support package is designed to foster increasing independence. Typically a one-year offer, Enhance provision is exclusively for students with an EHCP, after which they are supported within the wider college environment.
Enhance Curriculum is based at Medway Campus, Medway Road, Gillingham, Kent, ME7 1FN with two base rooms open daily from 8.30am. Enhance Curriculum has a specialist team of Programme Coordinators, Learning Mentors and Learning Support Assistants to ensure that reasonable adjustments, interventions and support are differentiated to each students EHCP outcomes and targets.
