Our staff and students love the opportunity to support charities, be that through volunteering or fundraising, and we're proud to be working with Spadework as our charity partner.
Selected by our staff and students, Spadework is a local charity based in West Malling providing skills, care and meaningful opportunities for adults with learning and other disabilities through a broad range of 'Trainee' roles.
Having visited their site we're really impressed with the way the charity is run and to see how the Trainees are being supported to develop their independence and personal skills through incredibly well-run horticulture projects, creative workshops, retail outlets and life skills classes.
If you've not been to visit Spadework, check out their website and plan a visit to check out the amazing garden centre, farm shop and café which are all open seven days per week.
We're looking to support Spadework through fundraising, volunteering, and helping to spread awareness of the fantastic work that they do. It would be wonderful to see more visitors heading to West Malling to buy produce or enjoy a slice of what we can promise is a great cup of coffee and a slice of cake!
