Course Description

You will learn a variety of skills and techniques to get you started in the exciting world of make-up artistry, including face and body painting, fashion and editorial work, hair styling and TV/film work and more, along with the chance to learn additional skills along the way.

You will also get the opportunity to work with photographers, to showcase your work at competition level and develop your creativity in order to get the best start in your make-up career. You will be able to demonstrate your passion for hair and make-up and in turn get the chance to work with make-up artists and boost your career.

Other Important Information

> Your tutor will provide practical demonstrations and support with written, oral and practical work
> You will be assessed throughout the course and will also be required to build a portfolio of evidence
> This is a study programme which includes English, maths and work experience in addition to your main programme

Future Prospects

This will enable students to gain the essential skills that can lead to a career in Media Make-up including development in Hair and Beauty techniques. This could then lead onto the level 3 Theatrical and Media Make-up course.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.
