I went to the Oasis Academy on the Isle of Sheppey. I travel in by train which I am used to now.
I did the sea cadets for nine years and a lot of things on this programme I did in the sea cadets. I need this qualification to go into the police. I would like to join Kent Police but not sure on in which area yet.
I enjoy Monday and Friday as it’s with Chris and they are very organised and he is very on top of things. I am looking forward to doing the summer activities and we have options of doing a physical activity such as paintball. Last year we went to Carroty Woods for the adventure activity. We have had two people from the army doing interviews with us so we can see what would be asked as well as giving us insights into the army.
My advice would be don’t go onto a programme where you are not sure. Have a serious think about the programme and what you are good at and what career you want to go into before you choose.
I have a part-time job as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. It helps me in College as I have gained skills like patience, and it will help me in the future and especially with the police dealing with challenging behaviour.
