I chose this programme as it looked really interesting. I did a subject similar to it at GCSE level. Currently we are doing the research section for our chosen areas and I am doing music videos and cinematography, and we looking into people in the industry. I like the theory side of the programme, so when you analyse the videos but I really enjoy the practical side as I like cinematography.
We have been given work experience opportunities too. We have worked with a lady who runs a small business so did some adverts with her and we are also working on an NHS project where we are making videos for children.
I would recommend this programme to other students and I chose MidKent College as I liked the idea of doing the practical side and using all the equipment which you wouldn’t get in sixth form.
After College I would like to go onto university to continue studying creative media at a higher level. I have already applied and am just waiting for the conditional offers and then I need to get the grades. I am hoping to go to the University of York. The tutors are great and are very helpful. They have been in the industry so they have actually done the work they are teaching.
