Governor
Alex is a risk and sustainability professional with a varied career. Originally a Chemical Engineer, he worked in engineering and manufacturing roles within the pharmaceutical industry before moving across to the risk and insurance function of AstraZeneca.
He led a risk management consulting practice prior to moving into risk management roles in insurance companies, culminating as Chief Risk & Sustainability Officer for Argo Group. He is currently a Partner at the accounting and consulting firm Crowe U.K LLP, where he is Head of Sustainability, overseeing the delivery of client consulting engagements as well as the internal sustainability programme.
He has been a non-executive director and chair of several not-for-profit organisations including the Institute of Risk Management.
