Alison is a qualified Accountant with extensive experience in a variety of sectors. After an early career in financial services, she moved to the public sector as a senior civil servant. Her roles included Finance Director at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and Director of Finance and Corporate Services at the Department for International Trade.
Alison is passionate about education and children's rights. She gained comprehensive understanding of Further Education as the Group Director of Finance and Estates at NCG (Newcastle College Group) and has been a Governor of several Kent primary schools and was a trustee of TackleAfrica providing health education through sport.
She is currently the Executive Director of Finance and IT at Plan International, the INGO advancing children's rights and equality for girls.
