Claire began her career in the Civil Service in various education and skills commissioning and FE Capital roles. She is currently Deputy Director of Authorisations and new business at the CLC, the specialist regulator for property and probate law in England and Wales, where for the past seven years she has overseen professional standards and the requirements for licence to practice for law firms, cross qualifying and newly qualified lawyers. This has enable her to expand her interest in education and training alongside professional standards by working with industry bodies, awarding organisations and Government on apprenticeship and T Level development in Legal services. In 2011 Claire joined JISC (Advance) as a business development consultant, a digital technology organisation working to provide UK universities and colleges with shared digital infrastructure and services, such as the superfast Janet Network. Prior to that, Claire held a Directorship which saw her leading on subcontracting arrangements and performance for highways programs with Balfour Beatty and May Gurney.
