I often say that it is a privilege to lead the College, and it is. What we do as a college is so important for so many people.
Having been myself one of those young people who started an Apprenticeship when leaving school at 16, I got to see how important a college would be in my life. I then had amazing opportunities working in the hospitality industry to travel the world and work at some of the most amazing restaurants.
I was fortunate enough to meet some great people along the way who took the time to help me and guide me through life, and so to be able to lead a college that does the same thing for thousands of people every year really is a privilege.
As Principal and Chief Executive, I hope that I am also a leader that you get to see and speak to regularly. It is important for me that I do this, and I am regularly found greeting staff and students as they come into the College each morning depending on whether I am at Maidstone or Medway that morning.
Our College is important to so many people, and it is incumbent upon us to make sure we continue to improve what we do.
