What will the apprentice be doing?

As a HR Assistant - Apprentice you will provide a high level of administrative support to the HR Manager and wider Corporate Service Department, helping in the development and implementation of HR practices, processes and functions within the Charity. Throughout your apprenticeship you will be proactive in support of business requirements, and develop your knowledge to become a first point of call for payroll, HR administration, recruitment, and pension queries.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As part of the role you will undertake a Level 3 Apprenticeship in HR Support through Mid-Kent College, where you will use your work responsibilities to work towards a nationally recognised CIPD apprenticeship. The academic aspect of the apprenticeship will be conducted in Maidstone through Mid-Kent College, and you will study 8 HR modules which include Personal Development, Business Understanding, and HR Legislation.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As a HR Assistant - Apprentice within KSS you will get the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised qualification within a Charitable and Medical enviornment. By the end of the apprenticeship you should have developed the skills and knowledge to be a highly engaged and proactive HR Assistant, who will have the foundations to move into wider HR functional roles within Employee Relation and/or Learning and Development.
