Apprentice CNC Machinist / Machining Technician CHRISTIE & GREY LTD
Christie & Grey are a small mechanical engineering company which designs and manufactures anti-vibration isolators and systems for the marine, construction, and industrial sectors since 1914. At our production facility in Tonbridge, Kent, we manufacture onsite our extensive range of isolators using the latest machine tools and design software.

What will the apprentice be doing?
- Assist the company overall with designs and manufacture of anti-vibration isolators and systems for the marine, construction, and industrial sectors
- Working with 3-axis CNC machines
- Inhouse and External Training on 3-axis CNC machines
- You will assist with assembly of products as well as inspection / testing
- Wider training on all aspects of production including assembly of products and inspection / testing
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering Technician - Toolmaker and Tool and Die Maintenance Technician
- Functional Skills in maths and English if required
- Development of knowledge, skills and behaviours required to complete the Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard
- Qualifications;
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Toolmaker, Tool and Die Maintenance
- Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
To become a fully qualified CNC Machinist and active member of the production department.

We are offering the apprentice the chance to learn, develop and apply their taught knowledge in our engineering workshop which uses several manufacturing processes to produce our range of anti-vibration mountings. The apprentice will become an integral part of our workshop team helping us deliver our products worldwide.
