Course Description

You will study a wide range of units including; Biology, Animal Health and Welfare, Feeding, Accommodation, Animal Handling and Behaviour, Conservation of British Habitats and Work Experience.

How will i be assessed?

You will complete written and practical work throughout the year. You will also complete online exams.

Other Important Information

Animal Management expects all students to wear a uniform. This is in the form of a unique coloured polo and sweat shirt. This is a mandatory requirement and can be obtained from a local supplier.

All MidKent College students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a Work Placement of up to 350 hours in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.

Future Prospects

It is possible to progress to Level 3 with the expectation of a Merit Grade overall.

Achievement of an appropriate Level 1 Diploma or 4 GCSE's at grade 3 including English and Maths.
