If you are under 19 on 31st August prior to the start of your course you will be eligible for free tuition on this course. Some costs may still be involved, such as trips or uniform, but this will be discussed with you at enrolment. There is financial support available subject to eligibility.

If you are aged 19 or over on 31 August prior to the start of your level 3 or 4 course there are no concessions available although you may be eligible to claim level 3 entitlement (see symbol 3 below). The Foundation Diploma in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship is designed as a one-year, full-time course covering the fundamentals of business. Successful students will then progress to the second year as a top-up programme. This study programme will develop skills in marketing, finance, innovation and business planning for starting up a business or for us within an existing business.
The qualification supports students who choose to enter the self-employed market to progress directly into employment, as the transferable knowledge, understanding and skills will give successful students an advantage in applying for a range of "school leaver" programmes in management.
Students can also progress onto apprenticeships in areas such as business administration, marketing, accounting, sales or enterprise, innovation and growth, or to a further year of study at level 3 should students wish to progress to university.

Human resources and industrial relations officers conduct research and advise on recruitment, training, staff appraisal and industrial relations policies and assist specialist managers with negotiations on behalf of a commercial enterprise, trade union or other organisation.
Jobholders in this unit group advise industrial, commercial and other establishments on a variety of management and business-related matters to assist in the formulation of financial and business policies in order to maximise growth or improve business performance.
