Course Description

Our Level 1 Health and Social Care programme is a perfect introduction for those seeking a career in the sector. You will develop an understanding of health and social care. You will build a great set of practical skills in our fully equipped classrooms, which mirror clinical and care environments.

You will study a range units with topics including: Introduction to physical Disability, Human Growth and Development, Introduction to Person Centred Support and other relevant topics. You will also undertake a work placement in a clinical or care setting where you will develop your practical skills.

You will complete written work throughout the year.

On successful completion of the programme you will gain an NCFE L1 Diploma in Health, Social Care, and Children's and Young People's Settings.

All students wear a uniform available to order through our uniform partners. You might also wish to purchase the text books associated with the programme.

Other Important Information

You will be undertaking a Health and Social Course as part of a study programme. This study programme includes your vocational programme (Health and Social Care), English and maths if you have not achieved a grade 4, group tutorial and work experience.

Future Prospects

You will be able to progress to a Level 2 in Health and Social Care
