Course Description

This programme will help prepare you for a wide range of exciting career paths.

You will learn about the work of various public services and their roles in society, and you will also complete units including health and fitness, adventurous activities, teamwork, the law, and improve your map reading and navigation skills too.

Other Important Information

> Although the majority of study is theory, the course is designed to be as practical as possible and will include a number of visits and outdoor exercises as well as residential expeditions
>You will be assessed through written assignments and practical work, and will also be required to compile a portfolio of evidence
>All students will continue studying English and maths until they are 19, or until they have achieved a Grade C/4. Your study programme will incorporate a work placement in a role relevant to your study. All students will have access to a Personal Tutor to support their personal and professional development.

Future Prospects

This programme could lead to immediate employment in the public services or progression to further programmes at MidKent College.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs at grade D/3 or above, including English or maths at grade D/3 or above.
