Course Description

Prepare for your career to take off when you enrol on the level 3 diploma - developed to meet the needs of the travel and tourism industry. The programme is designed to equip students with the professional and personal skills employers demand, or to help them progress to higher education. Subjects covered include customer service, the business of travel and tourism, the UK as a destination, and lots more depending on whether you choose to continue into the second year of study. You will also have the opportunity to participate in industry work experience.

> You will learn through a combination of practical exercises and classroom tasks, and will also have the chance to visit various organisations in the travel and tourism sector
> You will be assessed in a variety of ways including reports and projects, presentations and role-plays
> This is a study programme which includes English, maths and work experience in addition to your main programme

Future Prospects

Successful completion of the course could lead to employment with a wide variety of organisations including tour operators, travel agencies, airports and visitor attractions.

Entry Requirements

Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above including English and maths at grade C/4 or above.
