Course Description

Higher National Diplomas are specialist programmes linked to professional body requirements and national occupational standards where appropriate, with a strong work-related emphasis.

This qualification provides a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in the construction sector and is recognised nationally by employers.

There is a strong emphasis on practical skills development, alongside the development of knowledge and understanding of construction.

If you are working within the construction field or have ambitions of progressing into a professional, managerial or technical role, then this is the qualification for you.

Other Important Information

Typical lessons will involve research-based activities, individual and group projects, practical exercises and presentations

Coursework is the main method of assessment but you may also be required to take some tests and exams depending on the modules studied.

Under the Institute of Technology banner, MidKent College is offering specialised courses that cater directly to the demands of the engineering and manufacturing industries. Future Prospects

Successful students have the opportunity to continue onto the BSc in Construction 120 Credit (Top-up).
