I chose to come to College as I already knew what I was interested in and wanted to make my learning specific to that. I chose MidKent College because it is close to my house and easy to get to and from.

I did attend the open event which gave me more information on the programme I was interested in and helped me to decide that it was definitely what I wanted to do.

I chose to study Sport as I find it interesting and want to have a career within sport. I also take part in sport outside of education.

So far on the Sport programme we have studied psychology, functional anatomy and instructing physical activity. I have enjoyed functional anatomy the most as I find it interesting to learn about the body and how it works.

I think the College facilities are very good and modern which helps with our learning. The College tutors are helpful and encourage people in lessons to try their best. We get a better education because they want us to do well.

College is very different from school as they treat you like adults and show you more respect. College also expects you to complete work outside of lessons to help prepare you for the next lesson. You also spend less time in College then you do at school, so you have more free time.

I have completed work experience in a school and in a stroke rehabilitation unit shadowing a physiotherapist. This is because my goal is to become a physiotherapist. My work experience helped me to get more knowledge about the job I want to have in the future.

After completing my two-year programme at College, I plan to go to university to complete a physiotherapy course.

College has helped to prepare me for this next step as it has given me more information and people to contact to find out more about the course I want to do.
