My favourite part about the course is the creativity of what goes into the activities as we’re able to decide what activities we want to do as a class and then put our own twist on it.
I chose MidKent College as I was able to look around the College and I decided that I wanted to go.
I found it had the best courses for Childcare. The opportunities with this course really appealed to me like doing a placement and they’ve said when I finish they can offer me a job.
I’m currently doing my placement in a primary school and then I’ll be moving on to work in an early years setting so I get to work with different age ranges. I really enjoy it, I’ve always wanted to be a teacher and was over the moon when I got accepted onto this course.
Once I’ve finished this course I want to move up to level 3, if not I want to do Health and Social Care and progress that way. I would definitely recommend this course to other students and I have done so already to my friends. You get so many opportunities and it’s very hands on and creative, you get to do so many activities like painting – it prepares you for what you’d do with children.
Before starting at College I wish I’d known how quickly I was going to get put on placement as I got an interview and asked to start very fast. But no day is the same and I really like that about the course.
