I chose Business because I really like the idea of being able to start my own business in the future and I wanted to get a better understanding of the subject.
I chose MidKent College because it is a great place to study and learn. I really like how the campus is easy to access and find your way around. I wanted a change of scenery from school, I enjoy being treated like an adult unlike in school. The campus is nearby so I can easily travel to and from College.
I have learnt a lot on my programme such as different business models and how they are successful and other topics such as the recruitment and selection process, international business, market research, marketing campaigns, etc. I have learnt a range of real-life skills such as team building.
The most enjoyable part so far has been putting on our charity event for Cancer Research UK last year. I enjoyed being able to collaborate with my peers and put forward ideas to help make the event a huge success.
I am getting support with my next steps by my tutors sending over apprenticeship schemes and UCAS applications. They have been very helpful writing references for me to use when applying for apprenticeships, university, etc. The tutors push us to do our best and achieve the top grades.
For the future I plan to either study law at university, which this programme has provided me with the opportunity to do or I am also very much interested into looking at apprenticeships within the finance and law sector.
I would strongly recommend for people to study at MidKent College for a vast number of reasons such as the great support you get from tutors. Overall, I have really enjoyed my journey so far at MidKent College and would highly recommend it as a place of study.
