We’re currently learning about cultural masks like Day of the Dead, Chinese and Japanese masks – all different types of cultural masks. I’m loving this course; I’m a very creative person and I really enjoy creating new things.
My favourite thing that we’ve done so far is probably the masks task, I love learning new things about different cultures.
I chose MidKent as when I was in secondary school, I used to come to the College to do different courses every Friday and I really loved it – I loved working with the different materials it was so much fun so I thought I’m definitely applying for here. I came to an open day and I thought yep, this is where I want to be!
The tutors are really helpful, I really feel that my confidence has improved since starting the course – I have a better understanding of how to lay out my work.
My dream is to be a fashion designer – I would absolutely recommend this course to other students. If you’re very creative and love art I would definitely recommend it.
Before starting College I wish I’d known more about the work load – there’s a lot of course work, but I really love the course!
