Libby is a Level 3 Business Administration apprentice at Whitecode Consulting, building service consultants in Gravesend. She is highly praised for being proactive and efficient and was given an excellence award after being nominated by her manager, Katie Maxwell.

Katie said: “Libby’s main task is to support the whole business in any administration duties in any department. She is doing very well in a short space of time and works with our quality assurance manager, our BIS/H&S manager, utilities manager and operations directors. Libby has become more confident over time which has been great to see and she is a great asset to the company.”

Apprentice trainer at MidKent College, Eleanor Neely, said: ‘It is always lovely to hear line manager updates, but Libby’s exceeded our expectations of an apprentice. Academically, she shows a good work ethic and is always keen to utilise any learning opportunity, adapting positively to any constructive criticism. What really impressed me was how Libby helped her team win the company innovation project competition with her presentation skills, even earning an excellence award AND a dynamic award during the initial nine months of her apprenticeship - congratulations!’

Libby Baker smiles in her workplace

Libby said: ‘Not only has working for Whitecode Consulting helped with my growth as an individual, but it has also helped with my growth as a professional. When I began my journey in business admin, I was so shy and had very little confidence in my abilities or experience. However, with the support and guidance of all colleagues I have grown so much. I have gained so many new skills, through shadowing colleagues and learning on the job. Although I have a routine for each of my day-to-day responsibilities, no day is the same. This is why beginning my journey as an apprentice was the best decision for me as an individual.’

Congratulations Libby!
