Our open days offer more than just a glimpse of the campus. They allow you to get a feel for the environment and atmosphere here. You’ll be able to fully explore the facilities, see demonstrations of some of the equipment and kit you’ll be using as a student, and view current student work, helping you assess whether it fits with your preferences and study style.
Meet our teaching staff
Interacting with tutors and lecturers during open days will give you a deeper understanding of what you could be studying at MidKent College. You can ask about teaching methods, work experience opportunities, and the overall support system available for students.
Connect with current students
Speaking with current students will really help you to gain an insight into daily life on campus, what other activities you can take part in - and the best place for lunch! These conversations give you an authentic view of what to expect, helping you make an informed decision about your next steps.
Explore our programmes and apprenticeships
BTEC, A Levels, T Levels or maybe an apprenticeship…not sure what’s best for you? At our open days you can find out exactly what each entails, how long they take to complete, what the entry requirements are and what they can lead onto. If you’re not sure what subject area is best for you, being able to tour all of our departments, ask questions, watch demos and chat to our careers team should really help you to make a choice – or at least narrow it down!

MidKent College has invested significantly in state-of-the-art facilities and resources. Our open days offer the chance to explore these, including our Learning Resource Centres, industry standard workshops, training kitchens, sports facilities, and more.
Gather information on support services
College life can involve some challenges and the transition from school can be nerve-wracking. Our open days provide the opportunity to learn about the support services available on campus, such as counselling, careers guidance, additional learning support and health services. Understanding the safety nets we have in place to support you during your studies will hopefully help to calm any worries and make the transition easier.
