Your study programme and next steps are so important to us whilst you’re at College but it’s not the only thing. Find out more about what you can get involved in from social activities with the student engagement team to what our Learning Resource Centres involve. We're looking forward to you joining us!

What social things can I get involved with?

We have a student engagement team that oversee the social zones across both campuses. There you’ll be able to challenge each other to table tennis, chill out or just have a catch up with friends. The team will organise a whole range of events throughout the year from charity fundraisers, to mental and sexual health to Freshers’ Week as well as clubs, and activities.

There’s something for everyone to get involved in! We also have a range of gigs and live music performances you can showcase your talent in too – or just be in the audience! – as well as our annual pantomime and end of year show.

What food options do we have here?

Each campus has a large refectory with a huge range of different options available to you – and a revolving timetable so you won’t get bored! We also have a coffee outlet on each campus too AND a restaurant.

What are our libraries like?

Our Learning Resource Centres (LRC) are more than just a library. They hold everything from textbooks and magazines to several online resources suited to your study programme. We offer individual and group study, as well as quiet areas if you need some peace and quiet to focus! You’re also able to book out laptops and use our computers there too, and we have lots of knowledgeable staff on-hand to help you out.

What IT equipment and support is available?

You’ll have access to computers, laptops, and tablets with specialised and industry-standard software. Our LRC and teaching staff will be on hand to help if you need any advice or guidance using the equipment.

You can bring your own laptops, phones and tablets, and gain access to College WiFi and resources.

You’ll have access to different learning materials, electronic and online resources as well as other useful links through our virtual learning environment.

So, if you’re looking for a College near you, whether it be part-time or full-time, electrical courses or beauty courses, we have something for you.
