A huge congratulations to our Apprentice of the Month, Hayley Bashford.
Here is what her lecturer, Charlotte Brown, had to say on why she was nominated.
Hayley is a second-year student that has been growing in knowledge as the programme continues. She constantly excels in her diploma with her submissions showing an excellent level of depth and knowledge of all aspects of construction and civil engineering. She communicates well with everyone that she comes in contact with from peers to tutors. Hayley has been a constant support for her peers; she manages to not only balance her responsibilities at work but also continue to demonstrate commitment in all aspects of her Level 3 apprenticeship framework.
Hayley has been a complete pleasure to teach and I look forward to aiding her to achieve her Level 3 apprenticeship this year.
Hayley also has a few words to say about being nominated for Apprentice of the Month:
Being recognised as the Apprentice of the Month is a huge honour as it means that all of the hard work and late nights are being rewarded. It is also extremely important to me that the company I work for are aware of how hardworking I am and being recognised for this shows it.
Working at Ferns Group is a positive experience; everyone that I work with is nice and helpful. It is a fun and challenging environment, and I have been integrated well within the commercial team.
The best part about working for Ferns Group is getting real-life experience within the job role that I have chosen, whilst working on completing my NVQ. The commercial manager's department has been extremely important to me being able to complete my qualification, as any help I need the team is there to help.
Here is what her employer, Commercial Director Matt Townsend had to say:
Hayley has shown she has the ability and hard work ethic required to gain her qualifications whilst gaining in-depth real-life work experience. We are proud of our investment in young people and the benefits they bring to our company here at Ferns.
Keep up the good work Hayley!
