Attending an open day can be quite daunting for students.

We’ve pulled together some tips for you to make the most out of your visit.

    1. Research in advance
Before attending our open days, research the College, our programmes, facilities, and any specific areas of interest that you have. This will help you have more specific questions and make the most of your time there. We have two campuses so make sure you look at what campus does what programme beforehand. Why not check out our social media pages too? We have Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.

    2. Plan ahead
We have four different dates for our November open events and two dates for our March so make sure you register for the correct date and campus. Plan your journey in advance to allow for traffic and parking (parking is limited at our Medway Campus).

    3. Take notes
Bring a notebook and pen to jot down any important information you gather throughout the day. This will help you remember key details when the time comes to make a decision.

    4. Speak to current students and staff
Take advantage of the opportunity to talk to current students. They can provide insight into student life, the quality of teaching, and any challenges they might have faced. Ask them about their personal experiences and any advice they have for potential students. Don't hesitate to also ask questions to College staff, course tutors, or admissions staff. They are there to help and provide information that can assist you in planning your future education.

    5. Have fun and relax
Although you are looking for a suitable programme, open events are not scary! They are informative and you can have fun by interacting with departments – whether it’s enjoying a performance from the performing arts students or trying something tasty the hospitality and catering students have whipped up.

Remember, College open days are an excellent opportunity for you to gather as much information as you can about the College, courses, and campus life. Enjoy the experience and make sure to ask all the necessary questions to help you make your decision.
