Congratulations to Entry Level 3 ESOL student Pourya Mozafari for achieving a fantastic GCSE maths grade 7! We're so proud of your commitment, dedication and enthusiasm you've shown this year.

One of two MidKent College students to achieve a GCSE maths grade 7 in August 2020, Pourya has his sights firmly set on a career in electronic engineering. He’s hoping to take his strong skills in maths, along with previous studies in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, further to a university degree. Being mechanically minded, and with an interest from childhood, this career seems a perfect fit for him!

Pourya said “A high grade in maths is important; you will need this everywhere. I want to retake my maths next year to get a grade 9 – maths is easy for me!

This is a really nice College to study at. If you want to come to College just do it – and study! I have fabulous teachers; they are really nice and supportive.”

ESOL lecturer Maciej Janowicz said: “Well done Pourya! It was a pleasure teaching you, and you were a fantastic ambassador for all of our ESOL students. I wish you all of the best in the future, which I am confident is going to bright for you.”

Pourya has now progressed his studies further at the College, and is one step closer to his goal of being an electronic engineer, with the Level 3 in Engineering at our Medway Campus.

Well done Pourya – and good luck with your future studies!
