For Global Entrepreneurship Week we’ve partnered with Kent Business School and the University of Kent to host the Think Big! Event this week. Local employers also contributed industry tips and thoughts.
The Think BIG event explores entrepreneurship with guest speakers and a panel of young entrepreneurs sharing their stories on how they set up their own enterprises, what challenges they faced, the highs and the lows, and what it takes to run your own business.
Head of Department Clare Brown said: “It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to hear from a range of business owners about their journey, successes, and what it takes to run your own business. This will inspire our students to put their own entrepreneurship ideas into motion.”
We’ll be starting Business Ignition Groups (BIG) for MidKent College students in January where they’ll have the chance to hear from more visiting speakers and access support to help them turn their entrepreneurial ideas into reality. To get involved, students need to speak to their Progress and Performance Tutor.
We would like to pay special thanks to the following for giving their time to come and share their stories and experience with our students:
Jonathan Shaw, Andy Sutherden Alex Cacha, Becky Simms, Hayley Limpkin, Chris Newbury, Gary Lathrope, Liz Bylett, Chloe Cannon, Azeem Amir and Aimee Hobbs.
