Joshua is currently a Business Administration Apprentice in the Business Services team at MidKent College and studies Business Administration at Level 3.
Joshua’s supervisor, Natasha Barrett, Delivery Manager, MidKent College, said: ‘Throughout his apprenticeship, Joshua has exhibited remarkable development of knowledge, transforming from a trainee into a proficient administrator. Over time, his grasp of advanced techniques and industry-specific practices has expanded significantly. This growth is evident in the ability to tackle complex paperwork tasks with confidence and accuracy. Reviews and progress assessments have underlined growing expertise and versatility, especially when it comes to auditing the paperwork. Additionally, participation in collaborative projects on how to improve our department has not only enhanced learning but also demonstrated the ability to contribute meaningfully to team objectives.’
Catherine Avery, Industry training manager (Professional Qualifications) at MidKent College, said: ‘I nominated Josh as he comes to lessons with everything ready to work. He is now getting ready for EPA, the final part of his training. He gets on with his work and is aiming for a distinction which is what we want to hear. He works tirelessly when in class and has a portfolio that reflects this. Josh is helpful to the other students in class and is always polite and respectful of others working and learning.’
Joshua said: ‘The Business Administration Apprenticeship has helped to improve my knowledge of administrative skills and the laws and legislation surrounding it, especially in health & safety and employment law which will be useful as my career progresses. I have also learnt to become more reflective of the work I do and why I do it, which has allowed me to become more self-critical of what I do well and how I can improve. This will help me realise my visions, ambitions and goals. Finally, the communication and networking skills that I have learnt at college will help me to complete my upcoming Project/Presentation for EPA. I can then use the IT and computing skills that I have developed to put these project ideas into practice.’
Congratulations Joshua.
