There are lots of fun activities and events going on across the county, so find something that interests you and have fun!

The following are arranged and funded through Kent County Council, and only available to Kent residents (not those who live in a Medway postcode).

Free bus travel Young people aged 11-18 can travel for free by bus from 22 July to 31 August.

You can use the pass every day throughout the summer holidays on all Stagecoach and Arriva routes in Kent and on Kent County Council supported bus services.

Passes can only be used on journeys that start and finish in Kent. You cannot use it for services that start in or operate in Medway, East Sussex, West Sussex, Surrey or the Transport for London area.

Leisure centre passes 6-week leisure centre pass for £25 (or £10 if you receive free school meals).

Leisure centres across Kent are offering a six-week leisure centre pass for young people to cover the summer holidays. All are offering a 6-week membership pass for £25 each, discounted by Reconnect to £10 for those who receive free meals in college.

Passes can be purchased directly from the leisure centre you want to use this summer. There is no limit on the number of times that the pass can be used during the summer holidays.

Inclusive Sports Holiday, Activities and Food Programme A holiday programme full of sports, fun and new experiences for all. The programme is free for children who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals.

Open to children and young adults aged 4 to 19.

Dates: Monday to Thursday, 10am to 2pm from 2 to 23 August 2021.

Meweus outdoor education and activity Youth Day Camps in the UK that provide outdoor activities and workshops in mental health, climate change, animal rights, human rights, and critical thinking.

Open to children and young adults aged 8 to 16.

Dates: Weekdays, 9.30am to 4.30pm from 26 to 30 July 2021.

Free podcasts from Audiopi Young people starting their GCSEs or A-Levels this September can get a head start over the summer with free access to a wide range of fun podcasts that bring subjects to life. Kent County Council has teamed up with Audiopi to give Kent’s students free access to more than 2,000 tutorials, from English literature and language to physics, history, biology and plenty more until 10 September.

Summer Academy programme Invicta National Academy’s popular Summer Academy makes a return to Kent on Monday 26 July for 5 weeks and is open to all Kent school students between the ages of 6 years to 16 years.

The Summer Academy offers free daily live interactive, online teaching, delivered by fully qualified teachers.??Students don’t have to sign up for all the lessons – they have the flexibility to choose which areas of maths and English they want to practice and which lessons to attend.

Pride Event A Pride event for young people (aged 13-17) will be held in Kent on 4 September.

The BeYou Pride Day is a chance for members of Kent’s LGBT+ community to come together, celebrate who they are and have fun. It will take place in an outdoor venue (location to be confirmed), and there will be guest speakers, games, sports, drag workshops, food stands, chances to learn about the support available and more.

The event is run by the BeYou Project (part of the charity Porchlight) which provides safe spaces and support for LGBT+ young people in Kent.
