Competitors from across the Kent colleges competed in the annual KFE skills competition hosted this year at MidKent College’s Medway Campus on Wednesday 4 March 2020. Well done to all involved!
Nearly 200 students entered over 20 different hotly contested categories ranging from Early Years, Web Design and Culinary Arts to Welding, Plumbing and Hairdressing. The judges, all experts in their industry field, had the difficult decision of awarding gold, silver and bronze medals to our competitors. The creativity of the students was evident with Disney’s Princess Jasmine being created in Beauty, a boat being incorporated into a hair up and some excellent typographic work in Design. The attention to detail and precision was evident in all, especially in the construction trades competitions with advanced maths skills being demonstrated!
Congratulations to all of the students involved; your hard work, passion and enthusiasm for your subject made the event truly enjoyable for all, and really showcased the developing talent of our county’s future.
