Former Level 4 apprenticeship in Construction & Built Environment student Jared Humphries has won the Apprentice of the Year Award.
This award, sponsored by Kent County Councillor Margaret Crabtree, was given to Jared at the Sevenoaks Town Partnership Business Awards 2019, after he was recognised by his colleagues and mentors as being an asset to his company, FM Conway.
Jared has recently been promoted to engineering technician within the company, and is set to continue his studies with a Civil Engineering degree.
Chris Hare, Executive Director at the College, said “Many congratulations to Jared on winning the Apprentice of the Year award.
Apprenticeships are an ideal opportunity for those looking to achieve technical qualifications while gaining valuable industry experience. We work with many local and national employers to ensure that our programmes and apprenticeships are teaching the industry skills that employers are looking for.
We wish him all the best for his future career, and in his further studies at university.”
Jared was also honoured with a commendation at the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) Young Apprentice of the Year 2019! He was shortlisted with seven others from the highways and transportation sector, and we wish him good luck for his future career.
